Every window beats the price, and so does the projection. A streak chaser anchors on the 100% or the 80%. At 80%, this bet would look like a +47% edge.

The Trends model anchors on the weakest number, about 58%, and adjusts from there. At 58%, the EV at -120 is roughly +6%. That’s still a real edge, just a far more honest one.

Now move the price to -200, or 66.7% implied. The last 15 games only tie the price, and the projection falls well short. There’s no play. Same player, same logs, different price.
