No. Grades are probabilities, not promises, and every pick can lose. OPTIMAL is not responsible for any decisions made, financial or otherwise, based on information provided by this application. OPTIMAL cannot guarantee the correctness of the information contained within the applications.
EV, short for expected value, is the most vital mathematical concept in sports betting. When we say that something is +EV it means the bet is expected to be profitable in the long run. Whereas a bet that is -EV is expected to lose money in the long run.
Letter grades combine EV, win percentage, and other confidence signals into a single, easy-to-understand rating. Higher grades indicate bets that balance profitability with reliability. An "A" grade represents a bet that scores well across multiple dimensions — not just raw EV.
A unit is whatever your standard bet is. OPTIMAL uses 1% of your bankroll to generalize a unit. For example, if your bankroll is $1000, a 5 unit bet would be $50.
