Diamondbacks vs Dodgers predictions
Looking ahead to this Arizona Diamondbacks matchup, there are a few guys I’ve got my eye on with the potential to make some noise at Dodger Stadium. Corbin Carroll, who brings speed and firepower to the top of the lineup, looks poised for a productive night with a decent chance to get on base and maybe swipe a bag if he gets the read. Geraldo Perdomo, hitting over .300, has really found his rhythm — expect him to reach base a time or two, setting the table for the bigger bats behind him. And speaking of power, Eugenio Suarez always poses a threat to leave the yard, especially given his team-leading home run total. If the Diamondbacks string together those timely hits, they could give Yamamoto some headaches early.
Now switching over to the Los Angeles Dodgers, this lineup is always stacked with potential fireworks, but Shohei Ohtani is the real wild card. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him collect a couple of hits, perhaps even leave his mark with a long ball. Freddie Freeman’s been consistently driving his average way north of .350, so pencil him in for a multi-hit game and plenty of RBI chances — especially if Betts and Ohtani are getting on base ahead of him. And let’s not overlook Mookie Betts, who just seems to find ways to ignite rallies out of nowhere. Whether it’s a clutch double or a walk that sets up a big inning, Betts is the engine to watch here.
When it comes down to picking a winner, I have to roll with the Dodgers in this one. The combination of a deep, relentless lineup and Yamamoto’s ability to keep the ball in the park should be enough to hold off a scrappy D-backs squad. Sure, Arizona has found recent success in the series and can generate a spark at any moment, but at home with their bats clicking, LA just feels like the safer bet to snap their slide and get back in the win column. What do you think — do the Dodgers break through, or will Arizona play spoiler again?
