Diamondbacks vs Dodgers predictions
When you look at the Arizona Diamondbacks, there’s no question that their lineup features some real threats heading into this matchup. I’d keep an eye on Corbin Carroll, who’s shaping up to have a strong game—he’s likely to swipe a base and drive in a run, maybe even send one out of the park given his power numbers this season. Geraldo Perdomo has been one of the most consistent bats in their lineup, and it looks like he’ll be setting the table again with a couple of hits and a chance to cross the plate at least once. You can’t forget about Eugenio Suarez either; he’s been locked in with runners in scoring position and could add to his already impressive RBI total.
Switching over to the Los Angeles Dodgers, it’s the heart of this order that really stands out. Freddie Freeman just doesn’t stop hitting—expect him to rack up at least one, probably two hits, and contribute with a run scored. Shohei Ohtani is always the wild card; with the way he’s swinging the bat lately, a home run definitely feels within reach, and his ability to steal a base or draw a walk keeps pitchers off balance. Teoscar Hernandez adds a little more punch to the lineup, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he delivers an extra-base hit and drives in a run. Then there’s their ace on the mound, Dustin May, who should be able to contain Arizona’s lineup over five or six solid innings with a handful of strikeouts.
When you put it all together, it feels like the Dodgers have the edge coming in—especially at home, where they’ve been tough to beat. Their bats are just relentless, and with Dustin May on the hill, they seem poised to control the tempo from the first pitch. While the Diamondbacks have enough talent to keep things interesting, I’m leaning toward the Los Angeles Dodgers to take this one and break the series tie. What do you think—will the boys in blue come out on top again, or does Arizona have a surprise in store?
