Orioles vs Yankees predictions
Let’s start with what the Baltimore Orioles are bringing to the table. Dean Kremer is penciled in to start, and I’m expecting about five solid innings from him—he’s been pretty steady, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he racks up a handful of strikeouts and keeps the earned runs to a minimum. At the plate, keep your eyes on Ryan O’Hearn, who’s been swinging a hot bat lately and could rack up multiple hits in this one—maybe even drive in a run or two. Cedric Mullins is another interesting pick: with his blend of power and speed, I think he’s got a decent shot at going deep and swiping a base, while Gunnar Henderson should continue to be a spark plug for the lineup by getting on base and crossing the plate at least once.
On the New York Yankees side, they’re boasting power right out of the gate with Aaron Judge, who’s been absolutely crushing it. He’s the type of player who could turn the game around with one swing, and it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if he belts another homer and picks up multiple RBIs tonight. Will Warren will be taking the mound, and even though he’s still getting his feet wet as a starter, I see him handling about five innings and mixing in a strong strikeout total along the way. If you’re looking for guys to make some noise in the lineup, Cody Bellinger and Jazz Chisholm should be right there with some clutch hits and at least a couple of runs between them. They’ll set the table, and the big bats—think Giancarlo Stanton and Paul Goldschmidt—will be ready to clean up.
When it comes down to picking a winner, I’m leaning Yankees in this one. Their lineup is stacked and playing at home is always a boost, especially when Judge is seeing the ball as well as he’s been lately. The Orioles definitely have some upside and shouldn’t be counted out—especially if their top hitters get hot—but with the Yanks’ ability to draw walks, pile on runs, and get the big outs when it counts, it just feels like the stars are aligning for New York to edge out Baltimore and take the series. What do you think—will the Yankees live up to the hype, or can the O’s pull off something special in the Bronx?
