Mariners vs Twins predictions
Looking at the Seattle Mariners lineup heading into this matchup, there’s a lot to be excited about, especially with guys like J.P. Crawford and Cal Raleigh making noise at the plate. I see Crawford continuing his hot streak; he’s been seeing the ball well and could be in line for another multi-hit game, maybe even reaching base three times with a walk thrown in. Let’s not overlook Cal Raleigh either—he’s got real power potential, and with his swing dialed in, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him go deep or pile up a couple of RBIs. Julio Rodriguez also brings that classic spark for Seattle, and with his ability to get on base and put pressure on the defense, this could be one of those nights where he’s a constant threat, swiping a bag or dropping in a couple of singles.
Shifting over to the Minnesota Twins, there’s a buzz around Brooks Lee after his explosive four-hit game. Something tells me he’ll stay hot and slap together another solid outing—think two or three hits, maybe driving in a run for good measure. Byron Buxton has been the Twins’ anchor all year, so don’t be shocked if he launches one into the stands or comes up big with runners on. Carlos Correa’s been trending upward too, and he could chip in a couple of base knocks and flash the glove defensively. Keep an eye on Bailey Ober on the mound; if he brings his sharp stuff, five-plus innings with a handful of strikeouts seems totally in reach.
So, who’s taking this one? On paper, Seattle’s got a slight edge, especially with their lineup’s ability to draw walks and make opposing pitchers grind. If Bryan Woo can keep the Twins’ bats quiet and let the Mariners' offense chip away, Seattle should be in the driver’s seat. But don’t count the Twins out—if Lee and Buxton get rolling early, Minnesota could make things interesting fast. Still, my gut says the Mariners sneak past the Twins with a clutch late-inning hit, keeping the series lead in their favor. What’s your call?
