49ers vs Seahawks predictions
If you’re keeping an eye on the San Francisco 49ers this week, Brock Purdy is the player you’ll want to watch. I’m expecting a strong outing from Purdy, with over 240 passing yards and a couple of touchdowns as he spreads the ball to his receivers. Christian McCaffrey, as always, is likely to be the engine of the offense—somewhere north of 60 rushing yards and a good chance for a score, plus he’ll get plenty of looks in the passing game, so don’t be surprised to see him hauling in a handful of receptions as well. George Kittle also looks set to grab attention; a reliable target in the middle of the field, he should finish with four or more catches and somewhere around 60 yards.
Turning to the Seahawks, it feels like Sam Darnold will have his hands full, but I’m calling for a solid performance with around 200 passing yards and a touchdown or so. Kenneth Walker can’t be overlooked on the ground—he should get about a dozen carries and push for 50 rushing yards, possibly finding the end zone if the Seahawks’ line holds up. For the receivers, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is my pick to lead the way, probably racking up five or more catches and flirting with 60 yards, plus he’s a candidate for a big play if the Niners’ secondary isn’t careful.
When it comes down to a prediction, this one feels like it’ll be close. Both teams have talent on both sides of the ball, and you can sense the energy at Lumen Field shifting the momentum back and forth. Still, with the 49ers’ offensive weapons and a balanced attack, I think San Francisco has a slight edge. I’m taking the Niners in a tight one, but it wouldn’t shock me if the Seahawks keep it interesting deep into the fourth quarter. What do you think—are you riding with the Niners’ firepower or backing the Seahawks in their own backyard?
