Colts vs Ravens predictions
When you look at the Indianapolis Colts coming into this matchup, there are a couple of key names to keep your eye on. I think Jonathan Taylor is primed to set the tone early—if the run game finds its rhythm, Taylor could easily push for 100 yards and open up the play-action pass. Michael Pittman Jr. is another player I’d expect to be heavily featured, especially against a Baltimore defense that sometimes leaves openings on the perimeter. Don’t be shocked if Pittman gets into the end zone on a deep shot or a well-timed red zone target, and Anthony Richardson’s mobility should give the Ravens plenty to worry about as he looks to extend plays and turn broken pocket moments into first downs.
On the flip side, Baltimore’s offense is always a wild card with Lamar Jackson under center. He’s just as dangerous scrambling as he is slinging it, and this feels like a game where he’ll be leaned on for some big third-down conversions. You’ve got to love Mark Andrews as that steady presence over the middle—and with the Colts’ linebackers struggling at times in coverage, Andrews could easily carve out an 80+ yard day with a score. There’s also Zay Flowers, the rookie wideout with eye-popping speed; if Indy decides to press, Flowers might break free for a big gain that swings momentum. And hey, don’t forget about J.K. Dobbins—if he finds daylight, he could make the defense pay with a couple of chunk runs.
So, with both teams coming in with clean slates and plenty of firepower, this one’s shaping up to be a real chess match. Even though the oddsmakers are tilting things slightly toward Indy, it’s hard to look past the Ravens at home, especially with Lamar’s knack for making something out of nothing. I’m leaning toward Baltimore squeaking out a close win at M&T Bank Stadium, maybe by a late touchdown drive that leaves Colts fans shaking their heads. What do you think—could the Ravens’ home-field energy be the difference?
