Titans vs Broncos predictions
Let's talk Titans first. Cameron Ward looks set to take center stage—he's got the kind of arm that can open up this offense, and I think he'll push close to 180 passing yards while scrambling around for some sneaky yardage on the ground. That’s not all, though. Tony Pollard should see plenty of action out of the backfield and could flirt with the 50-yard mark, finding some lanes behind that big offensive line. Calvin Ridley is always a go-to when things get tough and should snag a handful of catches, maybe threatening the 50-yard line himself. Keep your eyes on Chig Okonkwo, too; he’s been quietly stacking up targets lately, and I’d expect him to chip in some meaningful gains, possibly even finding the end zone.
Now, shifting gears to the Broncos, you know all eyes will be on rookie QB Bo Nix. He’s been impressing in camp, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he hovers around the 230-yard passing range with a couple of touchdowns. Courtland Sutton is likely to be his primary target, and I could see Sutton hauling in four or five catches and putting up solid numbers through the air. The backfield is interesting, with RJ Harvey pacing the group—he looks primed to handle double-digit carries and should eclipse 50 rushing yards if Denver can build a lead. And don’t sleep on Marvin Mims as the x-factor, because his speed could turn a short catch into an explosive play at any moment.
All said and done, with this one taking place at Empower Field at Mile High, I think the Broncos have the edge. Their offense just has a bit more pop, especially with fresh legs at quarterback and a receiving corps that can stretch the field. Tennessee certainly has playmakers and could keep things close, but Denver seems set up to control the tempo and make those big plays late. I like the Broncos to pull away and take this one at home—mile high advantage, a little altitude, and the promise of those young stars getting it done when it counts.
