Lynx vs Storm predictions
Napheesa Collier is clearly in the middle of a monster season for the Minnesota Lynx, and coming into this matchup, she’s got to be feeling on top of the world. Averaging over 25 points a night and nearly nine boards, you can pretty much pencil her in for another stat-stuffing performance. It wouldn’t be a shock to see her flirting with a 25-and-10 game again, especially with how she’s dominated on the glass all season. Alongside her, Courtney Williams has quietly but steadily become the go-to distributor, and you just get the feeling she’s due for another high-assist outing—say around seven or eight dimes—especially since the Lynx love to run their offense through her savvy decision-making. The combination of Collier’s energy and Williams’ court vision? That’s been tough for anyone to slow down.
But Seattle Storm aren’t exactly a team to roll over in their own building, especially with Skylar Diggins bringing the heat. After popping off for 26 last game, Diggins looks locked in as Seattle’s engine, and I can easily see her putting up another 20-point night while also getting her teammates involved—double-digit assists wouldn’t even surprise me if she finds her rhythm early. Then there’s Nneka Ogwumike, who’s just relentless around the rim. She’s been money rebounding all year, and with the Lynx’s aggressive frontcourt, you know Nneka’s going to have to be extra scrappy on the boards. A double-double for her seems almost inevitable if Seattle wants to stay in it, and you can bet she’ll be hustling for every second-chance opportunity.
So who’s coming out on top? Look, the Minnesota Lynx have yet to drop a game this season, and there’s no denying how legit they look on both ends of the ball. Still, the Seattle Storm’s home-court energy at Climate Pledge Arena always gives them a shot—especially with Diggins cooking like this. In the end, though, Minnesota’s balanced attack and their ability to close out tight games might be just a little too much this time around. If you’re asking me to pick, I’ve got to lean Lynx—but don’t be shocked if Seattle keeps things close all the way down to the final buzzer.
