Sun vs Fever predictions

When you look at the Connecticut Sun heading into their matchup with the Indiana Fever, you’ve got to keep your eyes on Marina Mabrey. She’s been their go-to scorer this season, averaging nearly 18 points per game—so you can bet she’ll be aggressive from the jump, especially if the Sun want to keep pace with Indiana’s firepower. Marina’s also been solid setting up her teammates, racking up almost four dimes a night. Those fast-paced transition looks, especially with Olivia Nelson-Ododa crashing the glass, will be key. I wouldn’t be surprised if Olivia turns in a double-digit rebounding night and chips in some much-needed second chances.

Switching over to the Fever, the conversation starts with Kelsey Mitchell, who has barely let her scoring foot off the pedal all year. You can already hear the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse buzzing whenever she gets hot—she’s averaging over 17 points and has a knack for making things happen when Indiana needs a spark. Aliyah Boston, meanwhile, has been a real problem for opponents in the paint. She’s pulling down boards, leading the team with nearly eight per game, and serves as a sneaky-good passer for a forward. If she can keep her offensive rhythm and continue finding teammates for easy buckets, Indiana's offense should roll smoothly.

With all that in mind, this one just feels like it’s tilting Indiana’s way. The Fever are at home, playing .500 ball with a real sense of urgency, and riding high after that monster 32-point night from Caitlin Clark. Connecticut has the talent, but they’ve struggled on the road and Indiana just seems to have more momentum right now. So, if I had to call it, I’d say the Fever get the W in front of a pumped-up home crowd. What’s your pick?
