Sky vs Dream predictions

Looking at the Chicago Sky heading into their matchup at Gateway Center, you can't help but keep an eye on Ariel Atkins. She's leading the team in points, and with 13.4 per game, there's a good chance she'll be shouldering even more of the scoring load, especially with Courtney Vandersloot out after knee surgery. That means Atkins could be in for another big night trying to penetrate Atlanta's backcourt defense. On the boards, Angel Reese is basically a force of nature these days, pulling down a jaw-dropping 12.1 rebounds per game. You can bet she’ll be crashing the glass all night, giving Chicago second-chance opportunities they’re absolutely going to need on the road.

On the flip side, Atlanta Dream fans have a lot to be excited about right now, thanks in big part to Allisha Gray absolutely lighting it up. After dropping 23 in her last game, it really seems likely she'll ride that momentum and be aggressive once again. I’m expecting Gray to get cookin’ early, whether it’s tough drives to the rim or stretching the defense with her outside shot. Rhyne Howard, meanwhile, is solidifying herself as a fantastic playmaker. She’s got a knack for finding open teammates, so look for her to rack up assists, especially if Chicago tries to overload on Gray. Don’t sleep on Brionna Jones, either—her dominance on the boards is no accident. She’ll probably be in for a physical battle with Reese, which should be a highlight all night long.

So, how’s this one going to play out? With the Dream posting a strong 3-1 record at home and coming in hot with their offensive threats, the odds really do feel stacked in their favor. Chicago’s injuries and road struggles are tough to ignore; pulling off an upset in Atlanta will take some serious grit. While I think the Sky will have stretches where they make things interesting, all signs point to Atlanta defending their home court and coming away with another win. If you’re tuning in, expect plenty of highlight moments, but don’t be surprised if the Dream keep that home magic alive.
